Fractint version 20.0 is out!
This program was, quite probably, the very first thing I sought on the world wide web. Today, it continues to bring me hours upon hours of enjoyment. If you dont know what a fractal is, or have never heard of Fractint Then go download this awesome example of freeware, and see how beautiful mathmatics can be. Soon, PsiPhi will putting together a gallery of images generated using this program and others, and some explanations on how he made them, etc.
...to Fractint for years.
I loved the 3D spherical projection option. I used to stay glued to my 386-20 layering stars, moons and mountain-scapes all using the same 255 color pallette. Until Doom, Fractint was recreational computing for me.
So 2000 is the first year we were up I'm guessing. I have been perusing the "quotations" box for old posts.
Man Phayyde, this is really a trip down memory lane. I had a budding career at JHC, I was still married, and my kids were still in school. Man it seems like ages ago... lifetimes even. So much has changed. Thank you for keeping this stuff safe.
